What Forty Looks Like
I am told that forty is the new thirty as well as the new black. This is what it looks like with no makeup and no glasses (and newly dyed hair because I figured covering the gray would be a good way to ring in the new decade).

you look almost as you did in High School. It's amazing. 40 looks good on you!
This is what *Alison* looks like at 40, anyway. It's hard to see any sign that even a day has passed since you were a fiery young thing in your college years.
Our generation makes 40 look young.
40 is looking pretty damn great, sweetie -- happy birthday to you.
You don't have to worry about your age. Even though your forty you actually look 30!
